Timelapse video of our very own Milky Way Galaxy captured by two cameras on the night of June 21, 2020, at McDonald Observatory in west Texas. I did not expect clouds that night but it created a good special effect! I knew the observatory was closed to the public due to COVID-19 pandemic, so I camped out in my car on the grounds outside of the gate. I set up two cameras (Nikon D750 and D850) aiming south, taking 25 seconds exposures, every 30 seconds. Since it was a moonless night and pitch dark, I didn't realize what I was aiming at till the dawn twilight revealed the observatories in the distance. I also changed the position of the cameras halfway through the night and pointed one of them north, towards the North Star. The result is this video.

Sun was in and out of clouds during the entire eclipse. Couldn't get the totality shots! A great rare lifetime experience. Can't wait for 2024.

Since the full moon was exactly opposite of the Sun, It became the center of this beautiful rainbow over Houston Medical Center, and NRG Stadium. A once in a lifetime shot!

This year my daughter's swim team asked me if I was interested in shooting their team and individual photos. I explained that I'd never tried but I'll give it a shot. My challenge was how to shoot the usual team photo without using risers and I came up with a solution, "Photoshop"!
