The beauty God created. I guess some of you don't know ME - the photographer. I am Annette Hardy. Daughter of the Creator. Wife of Dale; mother of Ben, Grayson and Will. I am a "retired" nurse - or rather, I took a leave of absence to mother my kids and they are still keeping me quite busy. Along the way I picked up a camera, and after one particular vacation where I took over 12 rolls of 36 expos

ure film, my husband bought me a digital camera. I had been saying to him that year that I didn't want one of those digital cameras until they got good enough for me to catch candid shots. I loved catching the moments. Well, He bought me my first Canon Rebel. And my world changed. Oh, how often I wish I could go back to those days and recapture their babyhood, but thankfully, that Canon Rebel did pretty well on auto for a while. Until I had a moment to myself and decided to take some photography classes and really learn what I was doing. That's how it began . . . but there is more. I'll add to it later.

He's all grown up. My little boy is a Senior this year. I confess I'm in shock, but I'm doing my best to savor each event before we send him off for his next chapter. We had a good time taking his Senior photos down in Charleston and then in Pendleton.

Brooke is one of our newer hygienist at the office. She's been with us for a while now and I'm just now getting to do her Portraits. We had a blast. She actually said, "I've never enjoyed having my picture made because I haven't gotten any good results." I replied, "You are beautiful and I have the pictures to prove it!" I love, love, love being able to show people how pretty they really are. Brooke has been a lot of fun to get to know - I'm glad she's a part of our Cornerstone family.

One of the perks of working at Cornerstone Dentistry is . . . you get to have your portraits made!! I hope they like it...

One of the perks of working at Cornerstone Dentistry is . . . you get to have your portraits made!! I hope they like it as much as I like doing it. Kayla knocked it out of the park. And she brought her daughter with her - who loved dressing up and dressing her mom up - I think I want her to come to every shoot and help us all out. Kayla is effervescent and picked a great color that exemplefies that.

Bridal Portraits. These photos were taken in October. The wedding was 2 months later in December. All the fun of the wedding day without the stress. Well, maybe not All the fun, but a great preview day. A great day to enjoy wearing the dress before the big day (and without rain). A great day to wear the 5 inch heels and literally stop traffic. A great day to laugh and play and be the princess before the actual wedding day. She was beautiful both days, and what fun we had taking all of these portraits. Katherine, Thank you for letting me be this part of your wedding.

I've known this guy since he was knee high to a grasshopper. And now he's finishing up high school and ready to take on the world. He is an entrepreneur and a hard worker. I'll be fascinated to see what God is going to do with him. Guys aren't always keen to do these Senior shoots - any photo shoots for that matter, but once we got going, it was fun. Wyatt had washed his car and had it all shiny, but he also has a mud pit behind his house, so, I asked if he wanted pictures of that . . . and so, the cleaned up car got all dirty. And with that, we took the guys photo shoot up to the next level. And, I had a harder time than usual deleting pictures, so you get to see more than usual. ;)

This was my first time doing this type of job, and it was a wonderful experience. Usually I like to take an hour or two to do a photo shoot so I have time to make them feel comfortable and we change outfits several times. But for Staff photos, I did each one in about 15 minutes right where they work. We had a wonderful time and I hope each one of them went away feeling as beautiful as they really are. (and handsome, of course), Natalie Barrow, tag away. Ya'll can use these photos on fb or however. Enjoy.

I was able to take Hannah's portraits twice. We had some malfunctions the first time, so we decided to give it a second whirl. I usually notice that the second time around with a client we both "take" better photos. This time was no different. It might have been hot and humid enough to melt an iceberg, but you can't tell by Hannah's pictures. Can I also say how fun it is to find a good place to to take portraits in unusual places. The brick here is on a very old building that is part of the property at Ellenburg Nursing Home, we turned the corner and had a beautiful white battenboard wall to work with and across from it was the greenery all shaded by a high porch ceiling. And then the little "field." We were lucky that it was an overcast day or that would have cast too many shadows on her face. Thank you, Hannah for letting me catch your beautiy on round two!

This is my Sister, Suzanne, and her precious family. Russ, Hunter, Summer, Savannah and Boone and some family kittens. We had to wait for a non-rainy day and almost didn't get these stunning pictures of the fall foliage, but wow, their lake was the most beautiful backdrop that it almost overwhelmed my beautiful and handsome subjects. We started at their home and ended up at the lake that is in their neighborhood. I really enjoy taking pictures in a place that has meaning. I wish I had posted them when I took them, but better late than never. Family photos are fun and you end up with a good mix of everyone. They take about an hour to an hour and a half and depending on what you want cost between $200 and $300.
