Reason #438 I love what I do

We were Photographing the Basketball & Cheerleaders at Paxton & a few of the young girls were sitting behind me talking about how much of a difference this session was compared to their previous ones. They said wow this is actually fun. And these people are so nice, (talking about myself & our assistants.) I turned and said, so was your last photographer not nice. They said no not at all. I told them no one should be a photographer if they don’t enjoy it.

I also had noticed that during the session the girls were not coming over to look at the photos. So I hollered out if anybody wants to come look at their photos after they take them just come on over. From then on out, they all came over and awed over their photos. Especially the ones that came up with their own poses. They told me the other photographer would never let them see their photos 🤦🏻‍♂️.

At the end one of the young girls even walked up to me as we were packing up, thanked me & shook my hand 🥹.

When I take over photos for a new school or organization I always know that I am stepping over someone to get the job. I may be gaining a job but someone else is losing theirs. There are times I feel bad about this but then people remind me that if the other person was doing their job correctly, there would be no room for me to get over them.

In all jobs you have to try to enjoy yourself the best you can, do your job to the best of your ability, & try to make others around you happy. Everything else will fall into place.

P.S. Paxton School you ROCK!

✨🎤 What a show! 🎤✨

The Andalusia Elementary Show Choir brought the energy, the sparkle, and the smiles to the stage, and we were thrilled to be there to capture it all! ❤️
These kids put in so much hard work behind the scenes. Hours of rehearsals, learning choreography, memorizing every note, and showing up ready to give it their all. And it showed! Every performance was full of heart and confidence.

A huge shoutout to their amazing director, Mrs. Christy Clark, whose passion, patience, and dedication shine through in every single performance. She doesn't just teach music; she builds confidence and a love for the stage that these students will carry with them for years. 👏

So proud of this talented group! Swipe through to see them in action. 📸

🎡✨ That's a wrap on the 2026 Kiwanis Covington County Fair! ✨🎡

What a week it was at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds! From the bright lights of the midway at sunset to the laughs on the rides and the smiles all around, this fair reminded us why it's one of Andalusia's favorite fall traditions. 🎢🍭

A special shoutout to the Kiwanis "Show Us Your Talent" contest, and to our very own Andalusia Elementary School Choir for taking the stage and sharing their voices with our community! 🎤🎶 We are so proud of these kids!

Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Andalusia and everyone who worked so hard to bring this week of fun to Covington County. Proceeds from the fair go right back into service projects that support our youth and our community. ❤️

A big thank you to James Gang Amusements for lighting up the midway and keeping the rides spinning all week long! 🎠

We had a blast capturing these memories, and we already can't wait for the lights to come back on next year! 🎉
