areer came in the Democratic Republic of Congo and I immediately fell in love with the visual medium of storytelling and the opportunity to help people see things they wouldn't have known to look for from the outside. Soon after graduating I got married and realized the in-the-line-of-fire career I'd picked out wasn't an option anymore, so I took the journalistic style I'd been working with and started documenting the most special, chaotic times of people's lives, helping them see parts of their story they may not have known to look for in the bustle.
