intentional details and a short guest list filled with love are what micro weddings are all about.

tucked in the hills of south anchorage M + A were joined by their closest friends and family in a private lodge to celebrate their love. the following day we met in girdwood for a quiet adventure where they exchanged their private vows in the forest, their only witnesses were the ferns and the golden falling leaves.

weekends like this are a reminder that weddings don’t have to be big to be deeply meaningful and filled with love.

seward elopements will always have my heart 🤍

the beach was empty, the waves were steady and the black sand stretch of lowell point was all theirs for the day. we took it slow, walking the shoreline, enjoying the views of the snow covered mountains against the ocean, warming up in the cozy cabins of the and leaning into the little joys and details of a day all about K + P and their love.

this is what i love most about winter elopements in alaska, no rush, no pressure, just space to be present, soak it all in and enjoy the day together.

P + N’s adventure micro wedding along the shores of blackstone glacier bay in whittier on a moody august day

when P reached out asking for a true documentary approach to their day and specifically requested emphasis showing how small they are in comparison to the bold sweeping landscapes of alaska, i immediately felt connected to them by their vision alone + was so honored to preserve their day through my lens. we ventured out from the harbor to their ceremony site with their closest family so P + N could exchange their vows along the shores of blackstone bay and then hike to the glacier after. in their matching they trekked to the glacier hand in hand - i followed as they frolicked through the rocky waterfalls, mist + mood and shared their first dance at the face of the glacier. it was an unforgettable day + that felt so authentic, wild + free and that’s the magic of a spacious timeframe for your wedding experience ✨
