An extended family session on the Guemes Trail. I've been photographing this beautiful family for years! The good news is that they are adding to their pack. The sad news is that because I am moving, it will be awhile before I get my camera on their new addition :(

Third summer in a row of documenting this adorable family and each year it gets better and better. This time we took the photos in the small town of Coupeville where they have a summer home. It was an awesome change of scenery for me since I rarely venture off of Fidalgo Island for photography shoots these days!

317 days of separation during a pandemic. AND this mama is a teacher! I am in awe of this family and so many others from this air wing. These service members left their homes and went to sea right as the "lockdown" started and they returned (after two heartbreaking extensions) to a completely different country.

I believe this was my last session of 2020 that I am finally getting around to sharing! I loved the greens along with the colors they chose to wear. I had mapped out where I thought I wanted to shoot around the lake but this little guy took charge and showed me where his favorite spots were ;) They used to be my neighbors and I very much miss seeing that cute little blonde (with his mama in tow!) toddling up and down the street!

Being that it is this mama's birthday weekend and that she just gave birth to that sweet little girl in her belly, it seems fitting to finally share a few of these pics from their maternity photo on a moody PNW December day!

The sun is setting on 2020, well kind of. I miss sun and sessions that were warm enough to ditch the coats! Happy New Year everyone!
