Hey friends in NW Washington - I’m in need of DOG MODELS for upcoming creative projects, and I’d love your help spreading the word!

The new round of Unleashed Photo Challenges (EMPOWER) is starting in March, and it’s gonna be AMAZING. Because I enrolled early, I already have all the challenge briefs. I’m ready to start scheduling some shoots so we can get out and make some wild art together.

I’m also ready to schedule my first sessions for The Wonder of Dogs series for SoulDog Wonder Journal, and I would love to start with some local dogs here in Skagit Valley.

The Wonder of Dogs series will cover more of NW Washington, so even if you aren’t located here, you can apply.

Two and a half years without a dog by my side has felt like living without a piece of myself.

But it has also allowed me to sit in the emptiness, and look at what I truly long for. And to reimagine what life could be like if those longings were allowed to be free.

🌱 Free to grow wild. Free to feel deeply. Free to be shared with my loves.

Over the past year, I started to imagine a different path for my life. Instead of asking “How can I make more money, or get more clients?” I asked, “How can I be free? How can I have more freedom? More wonder? More love? More connection?”

My decision to step away from social media was a step toward finding these things for myself.

And it wasn't long before I began to ask, “Not just for me… not just freedom for me. Not just wonder, love, and connection for me. How do I create more for the world?”

And that's where I am now - creating the beginnings of freedom, wonder, love, and connection through my work as an artist and creative wildling.

To share with my loves.

I have some beautiful things coming to fruition this year.

When we work together, we find the light.

Finding the light is a literal search for the light in a location, but it’s also about reaching a point of ease during your session where your light comes through.

Creating like this isn’t accidental.

It takes collaboration between you and me.

And connection with the moments as they’re unfolding.

Why I made this thing…

🔥So it could be a spark to a fire you might need right now.

Or you might need tomorrow. Or sometime in the next year. A fire that can help you move into the unknown or take steps in a direction you’ve always wanted to wander down. Whatever that looks like for you and your dog, I wanted this to be something that cheers you on.

⚡️So it could be the spark for my own fire, too.

A fire that leads me to new places in my life, my art, and what I’m here for. A fire for new adventures, new stories, and new creative expression. A fire for the courage to do something different.

✨So it could be a catalyst in my moving away from social media.

Yes. I’m slowly making moves away from here.

Not deleting accounts or the work I’ve shared. But moving my best works, my deepest thoughts, the art that comes from my soul, away from here (and sharing it in spaces I feel are better suited for it).

The other night I asked my husband if he could please bring Kerouac back to life.

🥺😭😞

I was having a rough day.

I had just finished this project I’d been working on for a couple of weeks that involved thinking, researching, and writing about the places I wish Kerouac and I could go to.

If we could live our journey again.

🤷🏼‍♀️Why the hell would I do that to myself? (ha)

Because I believe in the beauty of feeling even the hardest parts of ourselves.

And that through feeling it all, something even greater is created.

While there have been days (months, actually) where I’ve just needed to be alone in my grief, I’ve always known that my greatest healing would come through creating something.

Art.

Writing.

Possibilities.

✨This project started out as something just for me, but soon became something more.

❤️Something meant to inspire you to take this time you have, and live the journey with your Soul Dog.

“Live the journey” isn’t just an idea.

It’s a rallying cry from my soul to yours. A reminder to be present in your moments. The good, the challenging – feel it all. Especially with your Soul Dog.

Don’t waste this time. Find freedom and life through experiencing beauty with the dog you love. Go on more than a walk around the block. Run. And be wild. Let your hair loose, and spread your arms wide.

To live the journey with your Soul Dog means spending your time taking in this wonderful life, and living every moment of it.
