Te-ge Bramhall Photography Sharing the world as I see it. I love my business name (Heart Gallery), but when I set it up, I didn't expect the direction my photography has gone.

Photography, like all art, is personal. I don't start out thinking, "This is a picture people will buy." I take a picture because it speaks to me. Something in the image speaks to the life-narrative that's always on-going. And when I look back at the pictures I've taken, I remember the story that goes with them. So these are my pictures...and my stories. I hope you enjoy them.

The idea for this card started when a friend was struggling to communicate in stressful situations because of their anxiety. Another friend and I wanted to help, and this card is the result.

The Anxiety Card is available as either a free download on Ko-Fi or you can commission a box of 50 personalized cards.

For the free download: https://ko-fi.com/s/5daa29cd32

For personalized cards: https://ko-fi.com/teeg/commissions

My long-term plan is for this to be an entire line of cards for people who may get overwhelmed or otherwise lose the ability to speak on occasion. If there's a specific card you'd like to see, please let me know.

Also, if you know someone who might find this useful, please share. My goal isn't to get rich off of these, but to get them into the hands of people who can use them. ๐Ÿ’œ Thank you!

Posted a new card for sale on Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/s/c4cb3018c4.

The front of the card is a shot from our recent trip, showing a little tugboat pulling a barge. The caption reads, "Sometimes we all need a little help."

Possibly my favorite shot from our recent trip.

โ€˜The thinner tree was cut years ago and the big one has been holding and feeding it since then. They "wake up" together in the spring and "go to sleep" together in the autumnโ€™

Inosculation is a natural phenomenon in which parts of two different trees, commonly but not exclusively the same species, grow together, self grafting and sharing nutrients

The term emanates from latin- ลsculฤrฤซ, to kiss

When I was a child, I loved folk songs. And one that I remember belting out many times went like this:

I've got a mule and her name is Sal,
15 miles on the Erie Canal
She's a good ol' worker and a good ol' pal,
15 miles on the Erie Canal

To be honest, it was the mule that I remembered, more than the Erie Canal...until we moved to upstate NY.

Ken had a good laugh when I exclaimed with shocked surprise, after seeing a sign for one of the locks, "I thought it was just something in the song, or at least something from long ago, not still here."

One of my favorite parts of the Erie canal system is the trail that follows the canal starting at Buffalo and going to Albany, and then it dissects the state from Albany to Canada, and all the way down until you get to NYC. The vast majority of it is a paved walk/bikeway as wide as a one-way street, only occasionally crossing over a public road.

There are 3 trails that we enjoy. One starts a few miles away. Another, the first one we ever visited, begins at Lock 7 where ships still wait to be raised or lowered for the next leg of their journey. My favorite starts near the college our younger son attends. It's one of the more active and well-kept areas, with lots of fun and interesting views, both natural and man-made.

November in upstate NY means we're well into autumn. While it's not my favorite season, by far, in part because this southern girl has never gotten used to NY winters, which are already making themselves known by this time of year (there's supposed to be snow tomorrow), it is definitely a beautiful season, with many trees, even now, bearing their fall colors, and some, like our Japanese maple, only now showing their deepest hues.

When we purchased our house years ago, I'd never seen a weeping willow with a trunk so thick you couldn't wrap your arms around it, much less one that my two sons and I couldn't encircle together. Here, we have two, and over the years, I've tried various ways to take a photo that illustrates the breadth of these trees, but still haven't succeeded in taking a shot that tells the whole story.

"Mom, it's nice out today. Come sit outside and let me play for you."

My older son was 17, on the cusp of adulthood. I wasn't about to turn down that offer, and he was right. It was early November, but even in upstate NY, the day was nice and the sun was shining.

So I went out and sat and he played a song that he had written himself. Afterwards, I took pictures of a memory worth saving.
