This year marks the 20th year my high school acting students have created movies. We've grown from a $600 budget to a $12,000 budget. We are funded by grants and donations. The students develop the stories through screen treatment sessions and are the featured actors. We hire professional actors for adult roles and contract with local musicians to create music for each movie. There are three movies, each runs about half an hour. The Artists is a docudrama about seven girls wanting to be artists. Blind is a comedy about a nerd taking advantage of a pretend handicap. New Girl is a tragic tale of guilt and bullying. The more views, the more it helps next year's state grant scores. We were the highest ranked grant in our area last year.
Enjoy.
