My mom turned 70 in March. Her gift was a photoshoot that involved multiple outfits and locations.

As part of my Small Gatherings business, I offered a free Tea Party to Morgan of Ancell Acres Farm, which included a photo package. Morgan and Jake received their permit that allows them to sell their own brewed blend of tea through the end of the year (hot and cold) at any event or celebration; their tea is all natural, no additives or sugar. Morgan offered 2 different iced teas during this tea party (it was a hot day) and WOW! I had several cups and had no reason to add sugar or honey at all, the flavors were simply amazing. And check out those colors.

Check out their FB page at Ancell Acres Farm and be sure to follow them. They are the sweetest couple and I've really enjoyed hanging out on their farm, talking with them, learning about farm life and capturing farm photos.

I am NOT a wedding photographer. Wedding photos are a "one chance to get it right kind of deal and it is entirely too much pressure". And taking photos on a beach, on a hot day with full sun with only a few minutes of cloud cover?...No-Thank-You! However, my nephew and his beautiful bride recently got married, so I took the opportunity to snap some photos (they had a REAL Wedding Photographer capturing all of the important photos). I think they turned out fine...as in, I'm a casual photographer and these are casual photos, so I'm including them here just to show my style. So, if you're looking to have the casual every day photo taken, let me know...that's kind of what I do.

A Day on the Farm Series - Post 1

Let me introduce you to my first "A Day on the Farm" Series. I reached out to Morgan of Ancell Acres Farm after following her and her husband Jake on FB and asked if they would be interested in a free photo shoot that would take place over several sessions. This would give me some experience photographing a working farm and give them some photos to document their farm life. Because Morgan and Jake are both great photographers in their own right, I was honestly a little worried they would be disappointed in my final work product. Also, I am not a farmer, will never be a farmer, so really, who am I to capture a day in the life of a farmer...yet here we are. I hope you enjoy some of the photos I captured during my tour of their farm. Because farm life is unpredictable and my schedule is nuts, we will be having our 2nd photo shoot sometime in the near future. Be sure to check back later for new photos. I'm not really a people photographer because posing is not really my thing. But I had a visitor this past week and we took a trip to the Shenandoah Mountains to do a little photo shoot. What I've learned is I'm a better inanimate object photographer than I am a people photographer. 😂😂 Check out the photos and let me know if you agree.

I offered Free Event Photography to Craft & Crust Pizza Tavern & Bourbon Bar for this event because: 1. They contracted Small Gatherings Rental Company, LLC to provide tables & chairs for a second year in a row (that's me) and 2.
