Take the photos you really don't want to forget.

Some families schedule a newborn session to get their new baby glammed up for some cute poses and costumes to remember from their first few days of life.

Other families look for those snaps of precious features that God gave to each new creation. Look at the intricate work of the hands, feet, and even the umbilical cord of life inside the womb. Thank you God for these remarkable things.

🌻 A LITTLE SOMETHING SPECIAL BEHIND THIS YEAR’S SUNFLOWER MINIS…

If you’ve followed my photography for a while, you know how much I love a beautiful sunflower field. But finding a field where photographers are actually invited and permitted to photograph is becoming harder and harder.

This year, I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to photograph at this beautiful private sunflower field. The owner is someone I know personally, and I’m so thankful for the relationship we’ve built and for the opportunity to support his sunflower seed business. Only three photographers have permission to use the fields ❤️

So, a friendly reminder as the sunflowers are in bloom:

🌻 Please don't enter the field without permission.
🌻 Please don't pick the flowers.
🌻 Please don't assume that because you see photographers there, the field is open for anyone to use.
🌻 And please respect the owner's property and his crop.

Sunflowers aren't just pretty scenery — they're his business and livelihood. 🌱 Thank you for booking with CC!

The animals that I have gotten to spend time with this year have been so fulfilling.

Having an animal that can sit still long enough for a photo takes a tremendous amount of skill and effort - from the owner. I commend those animal lovers and the time they spend sharing life with their bunny, cow, dog, etc. so that they are comfortable enough to spend time with my camera too. 🦙

It's not every day you get to celebrate a 90th birthday! 🎈

A good lesson to remember: "You are living "the good old days" right now. We spend so much time waiting for things to get better or missing the past; but waking up today is a gift. Slow down and enjoy the ordinary moments."
