Hi, my name is Michael Garrett--

When I was young, my grandma on my father's side was diagnosed with Alzheimers.

When I was 11, she passed away.

Because of this disease, and due to her passing in my early childhood, I was never able to learn very much about her life.

Don't get me wrong, I loved her and felt a connection to my grandma, but I never did get to know the experiences that made her the wonderful lady that she was.

I have always felt that if I knew more details about her life, I would feel a stronger connection to her because I could empathize with her. I also feel that I would be more resilient to similar circumstances to the one's she went through in her life.

But, that's not how it is. And now I don't have any way to learn from her important life experiences.

So I decided to provide that opportunity to other families instead. I want to help others receive the priceless gift of permanent family connection.

My grandma never wrote her personal history. Writing personal history in books is ineffective because they take too long to write, so many people don't write them. Those who do write them don't realize that these books end up on shelves and end up unread by most of their posterity.

I am a co-founder of FamFilms, a personal history preservation company that films family stories in a fun and natural way. We make sure that you look great on camera and are prepared to tell your story. Don't wait until it is too late to tell your story!
