Sometimes the memories are ones we would rather not put on the walls of the house, but they are still important to capture. Today, I was able to grab a few photos of a memory that will forever be engraved in this family's heart & mind. The final goodbye of a loved one.

I personally knew this man. I will never forget that his granddaughter could not say "Aunt Jen" but always called me "A-Duh". He thought that was hysterical (gee thanks, Jay) and began calling me that as well. He was also right there when I cut my fingers opening a large tote of ice cream for my summer job. He said I didn't need stitches, but knowing my fear of needles, he smacked my arm and told me all I needed was a tetanus shot. (gee thanks again Jay)

Jay took his final ride on his motorcycle today.

May this family be blessed with all the memories of the good times and have faith to get them through the days until they see Jay again.
