Brit & Norby

A before-dawn hike to the Lighthouse,
vows exchanged on the edge of the canyon,
and a night spent celebrating with the ones who matter most.

When Brit reached out to me last year about helping her plan her elopement, she mentioned she wanted to be able to have these intentional quiet moments with Norby, but also wanted to include a small gathering of loved ones who had a positive impact on their relationship. We had just started up our business, along with Ana (), so it was the perfect opportunity to showcase just how special we could make their experience. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out for the picnic setup, but through Vows & Venture we have a team of providers to assist in curating a touching scene for your one of a kind elopement experience. Monica and Elaina with , provided the table, seating, and table scape for their dinner. Tonya, with catered the meal. And arrived at 3 in the morning to style Brit’s hair and makeup (which lasted ALL day!). She was (and is) so beautiful. Monica also provided a small cake for Brit and Norby to have the traditional cake cutting moment. All to show you that ditching the large traditional concept of a wedding does not mean you have to miss out on any of the key components.

Wild, intentional, and unforgettable. If you’ve ever dreamed of doing it your own way, this is your sign!

The snowy couples session I see others photograph, but have never been able to do myself. FINALLY! We made it happen! Special thanks to Hannah and Cohen for being available and willing to meet me very late on my way home from a wedding this past weekend in the most brutal part of the storm. Being out there for the 5 minutes we were reminds me how privileged and blessed we are to live in a world with solid walls and heaters. Hope you all stayed warm and had fun playing outside or staying in. 🥰

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good 2025 recap filled with stats and data. That’s all amazing and insightful! However, I want to take a different approach.

2025 certainly brought me an over abundance of growth, work, and new connections. But my favorite part about it was the hundreds of stories I was able to capture and share.

When asked what my drive and passion is behind what I do, my answer is always—you. One day when I’m old and my memory fails me, I am going to look back on my photos of my husband, my family, my children, etc. and escape the woes, aches, and pains I’m sure are to come and be transported to the joyous laughter, the unruly chaos, and the playful days, remembering all too well how happy I was. I know we are the exact same in this regard. I know, as my client, you find freezing a fraction of your life just as important and imperative as I do. So that is why I do what I do—creating something tangible out of a fleeting and disappearing moment.

Here’s to more stories in 2026. Will I have the honor in telling yours? 🤍
