📸 My new studio is finally user friendly and I’m excited to hit the ground running!

My open house will coincide with the October First Friday Art Walk Arts in the Sunset. From 5-9pm I’ll be offering discounted headshots. Come enjoy the chill lounge area I’m lucky to share with artists Brittany Busch and Ric Rueda.

🗓️ Please book your time using link in comments - navigate the Google Calendar to October 2nd and choose your preferred time

💡 You’ll receive one edited high-res image with no usage limitations. Images will be delivered via email Tuesday, October 6th. Payment is due upon service (October 2nd). I accept cash, Venmo, or CashApp. Square debit/credit transactions will include a $1.20 processing fee because Square is greedy like that.

Well, friends, it’s finally happened. I’ve always been pretty relaxed with how clients use the images they pay for, but AI is a different beast.

AI systems “scrape” billions of images (copyright be damned) from the internet without consent to train its models. This means artists who’ve spent decades refining their skills are being ripped off, poorly imitated, and losing work.

When I take a photo, it’s a capture of time. It’s a one-of-a-kind collaboration and I prefer it stay that way. It’s an intimate moment with another HUMAN BEING. It’s vulnerable. Something AI can never be.

Please know I understand this post won’t put an end to AI. I know it can be a useful tool in fields that are far above my pay grade. It can help medically diagnose sooner, improve tech that improves lives, and process data at speeds that can accelerate scientific breakthroughs. But, in all of those instances, it’s a TOOL…not the be all end all final answer.

As for artists, it’s a blatant ripoff. It takes away a soulful connection. It cheapens the experience and spits in the face of those who dedicate their lives to a craft. You do you, but not with my images. Please and thank you.

Route 66 is being brought back to life in Glenrio! This sign hasn’t lit the night sky in 50 years, but thanks to it once again guides travelers to this tiny oasis. The folks that made glenrio.smoke.stop happen have a lot of amazing plans for this area!

✨ Your customers deserve to see your true talent and you deserve to show it off!

🤖 60% of US consumers say ‘AI’ in brand messaging is a turnoff. Creating images of your products that aren’t exactly what your customers will be served is just setting everyone up for disappointment.

Don’t hurt your profits trying to cut corners. Stand up for your brand with true-to-you marketing that highlights your skill, integrity, and commitment to quality.

🖤 My favorite senior session of the year! I love that each new generation keeps alternative style alive in their own unique way. There’s nothing cooler than authenticity and Keira is the perfect example of that. Thanks for trusting me to show the world how powerful you are. Congratulations on graduating!

I’ve never been attracted to big and shiny as much as dilapidated and gritty.

But I wouldn’t say no to big and shiny 😜

📸 There are two kinds of parents when it comes to senior photos - the ones who book at the beginning of the year and those that wait til the last minute. Don’t worry. I’ve got you!

With the chaos of a senior year it’s easy to let this task slip through the cracks. I make checking senior pics off of your to-do list fast, fun, and affordable! DM me for more info 🫶🏼
