🚨 Fire Weather Alert – Texas Panhandle 🚨
Parts of the Texas Panhandle are under critical fire weather conditions today.
Here’s what’s happening: • Strong west winds, with gusts around 20+ mph
• Very low humidity dropping to 15–25%
• Dry grasses and vegetation after a long stretch without rain
That combination means any spark can turn into a fast-moving wildfire, especially this afternoon. Fires could spread quickly and be difficult to control.
🔥 Please avoid outdoor burning today.
🔥 Be extra careful with grilling, welding, dragging chains, ci******es, or anything that could spark a fire.
These are the kind of days that look calm but carry real risk. Let’s not give fire a head start.

Chase day yesterday near Silverton TX. I was on my way there and knew it was about to produce and I still had at least 30 to 40 minutes to go. I told it "Don't do it, wait for me!". Needless to say, she did. I got visual and bam, she put down. Ahhh, what a chase!

March 2, 2025 marked the first chase day of the season. The set up was questionable but a 5% tor risk for parts of TX and OK existed anyway. That's is grounds for a "must chase" situation and I'd say it was a HUGE success! Edgar ONeal and Team Dominator were there too and it was wonderful finally getting to meet everyone!

was located near Sanford, or 11 miles west of Borger, moving
southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and hail up to two inches in diameter.

extending from 9 miles east of Morse to near Sanford to 9 miles
southwest of Lake Meredith to 4 miles east of Valley De Oro to 7
miles southwest of Boys Ranch, moving southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
