📸PRO TIP OF THE WEEK: PREPARING YOUR HOME✨
First impressions matter, especially in real estate! Here’s how to prep your home for listing photos:
1. Depersonalize:
Remove personal items, family photos, and any sensitive info or belongings. It's not only a good safety measure, it always allows people to envision themselves in the space more easily.
2. Stow Away:
Your house doesn't have to be absolutely spotless for great listing photos, but if you're able to toss some of the bulkier and distracting items in a closet temporarily, it helps keep the space looking more open and move-in ready.
3. Curb Appeal:
If you can- mow the lawn, trim the hedges, and remove any bright or distracting outdoor tools or furniture.
4. Let in Natural Light:
Open curtains and blinds to let in as much natural light as possible. Bright, naturally lit rooms look more welcoming and spacious. You can see in this photos, cafe style curtains add a really gentle and soft look to the space, but still allow TONS of light to flood in and create a beautiful glow.
5. Stage Strategically:
Consider adding some flowers, setting the dining table, or placing a cozy throw on the couch. Small touches like these can make your home feel warm and inviting.
With these simple steps, your home will be picture-perfect and ready to impress!
As your photographer, I will be sure to suggest changes that could enhance the space, and with my guiding hand we will make your home shine when you list.
