Another beautiful IUCN critically endangered palm viper from Honduras.
A juvenile brown/green phase Guifarro's palm pitviper (Bothriechis guifarroi), named after Honduran environmental activist Mario Guifarro who was killed while on a conservation mission in eastern Honduras in 2007.

Finally back from Honduras and Guatemala, an amazing trip.
Jade palm viper (Bothriechis thalassinus). A large critically endangered and rare palm viper in the remote cloud forest of western Honduras.

beautiful snakes”.

I just got back from Honduras, and wanted to thank the wonderful people of Macaw Mountain Bird Park and Nature Reserve and Pro-Alas in Copan for opening their facilities to me. It was a special experience participating in the release of scarlet macaws into the wild.
