I got the privilege of taking family pics for this amazing family. I know everyone doesn't get this chance but if you do........ do it right. This is the passage she wrote along with the photo.

This is my family! The father of my children and my first husband. My husband and bonus dad to our children. Our two sweetest kiddos! Again, this is my family! We are raising children together, making decisions together, respecting each other, being loyal to one another; we are a team. We don’t always agree, we annoy each other, we get frustrated with one another but we are in this together. We always communicate and find a path forward, always. The kids and their well being is so much bigger than us. They are the kids and we are the adults and we act as such.
Here is our family picture, the five of us.
People told me this couldn’t happen and doubted it but I knew that Darrick and I would always put our kids first. We would find a path forward. I was committed to finding a partner who would put our kids first. I found that and wouldn’t settle for less. John is patient and kind and puts our kids before anything else. When I say our kids, I mean Darrick, John and my kids.
I know our situation is different than others. Different than most. What I love is that our story is OURS. That we have chosen our own path on love, life and family. We have chosen each other and the kids. The kids will always come before anything else. We’ve got this!!
