Today I’m celebrating the birthday of my peer and fellow Photographer, There’s a special synergy that forms when two professionals team up. Brian‘s goal for our session was specific, he needed imagery that commanded professional respect while remaining relatable and approachable. As photographers, we spend our lives behind the lens, but I believe that the creatives of our industry deserve to be seen too. It was a privilege to step into the directors role for this session, blending our artistic visions to engineer a brand presence that reflects his expertise. Happy birthday Brian! Happy Friday, friends! I am glad to see both familiar and new faces here. It’s been a while since we last connected therefore, I thought now is good time for a to reconnect and welcome new friends.

For those who are new here, I’m Renea Ash, a personal branding and portrait photographer who provides a full-service portrait photography experience in the Alpharetta, Georgia area.

So, what have I been up to since my last check in? Well, in addition to working with some incredible clients, I’ve been indulging in a little guilty pleasure - binge watching Suits while I muti-task during image editing. It’s a great way to stay entertained while powering through my workflow.

I also recently finished reading “How to Work a Room” by Susan Roan, and I have to say, it’s been a valuable resource particularly if you are an introvert. I’d highly recommend giving it a read if you haven’t already.

And of course, when I need a little self-care, you can find me indulging in some retail therapy. There’s something about a shopping excursion that helps recharge my batteries.

I was fortunate to spend quality time with my mom for Mother’s Day. We started the day by going to the Cheesecake Factory for a special Mother’s Day meal where we enjoyed catching up.

I think it’s the little things that make moms happy. Spending a little time with them, listening to them, and showing them how much you care means the world to them.

So, on this Mother’s Day, take some time to appreciate your mom. Tell her how much you love her and show her how much you care.

Wishing all the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures a very happy and blessed Mother's Day. May your day be filled with love, laughter, and the knowledge of how truly special you are!

P.S. While this photo of me with my mom is just a cell phone image, we still captured the moment of our time together.
