One of the most honest days I’ve photographed in a long time.

Jennifer and William wanted a day that felt like them, not a curated day from an inspiration board. They had around 35 guests, and went to four locations across Bethlehem that meant something to them. Their home, their church, a favorite restaurant, and a favorite park.

The entire day was about documenting real moments, and the joy that was felt by everyone throughout the day. We absolutely had time throughout the day to make sure we get some killer portraits, but like I tell all of my couples, it’s such a small fraction of the day.

What matters most is that we’re not worried about the photos we’re gonna get, but the interactions we’ll have through throughout the day with the people that matter.

Here are some of my favorites!

Kirsten + Michael wanted to do their engagement session on a mountain they spend most of their time on! is seriously a hidden gem, and it was an honor to get to go down the slopes with these two for a few hours and take in the last of the season! I absolutely love that so many of my hobbies get brought into my photography career on the regular. Can’t wait to do this again sometime!

Marina and Mason had such an amazing session over at Ridley Creek State Park!

It was my first time shooting here, but I hope it won’t be my last! Tons of architecture and the beautiful gardens remind me of shooting over at Longwood Gardens before all of their permit policies have changed. It was pretty low-key, not many people there at all, which let the two of them focus on each other and get some pretty stunning photos!

Puts things into perspective… maybe. 😅

Matthew + Ashley’s session this past weekend was such a blast! I swear this happens every single time - I get told “we’re awkward in front of the camera” and then these two have the most contagious energy together! You can see for yourself how gorgeous of a couple they are. The backdrops of Bethlehem and were perfect, and while we didn’t get a sunset, we sure faked it in a few shots with some flash tricks!

This was an unforgettable day.

Madison and Casey were truly in love and beamed at each each other the entire day.

I’ll never stop questioning how I get so many amazing couples that trust me enough to be themselves and remain fully present on their wedding day.

As someone who hates getting their picture taken, that requires a lot of faith in your photographer.

It’s an incredible honor..
.to have couples who rave about what I do every single year.

To be tired from the work I prayed for.

To spend so many incredible moments with amazing people.

To travel the world doing what I love.

To have packed schedules and the ability to take care of my family from this passion I get to call a job.

If you know me, you know I don’t care about awards at all.

But these awards come from couples leaving amazing reviews about the service I provide, and THAT means something to me.

While being introduced in some arbitrary “hall of fame” doesn’t really mean much, what it symbolizes does.

It’s been years of getting to live this creative professional life.

Years of joy, service, love, and all around great vibes.

It’ll always be incredible to me that THIS is my life.

So here’s 20 of some of my favorite shots over the years to celebrate. I wish I could have 100 photos to share - there’s just too many to choose from.

Love to each and every one of you.

If you’re not yourself, what’s the point?

i’ll be forever grateful that I have couples that trust me to capture their personality first and foremost.

Not only do you have individual personalities, but a new one forms in the way you both interact with each other.

It’s beautiful, it’s unique, and I’m so unbelievably biased towards capturing that over a stiff pose.

At the same time, I also feel like it’s important to have art that shows both of you off in a stunning way.

i’ll never say I’m all candid or all posed - while I may bias toward and default to candid photos and documenting what’s real, I know that if it were me on the other side of the camera I would want to be told how to stand. What to do with my hands. How to act.

I want real and authentic photos of myself, but at the same time, it’s very hard for me to unwind and relax in front of the camera.

It’s all about balance. I think that’s why I attract so many clients that say they feel awkward in front of the camera. Because I do too.

I’ve always loved these moments when the energy in the room shifts from “getting ready” to “oh wait now it’s getting real.”

You spend all morning with good company, laughing, drinking mimosas, and then suddenly it hits you - you’re about to get married.

There are so many subtleties that energy brings better such a joy to hunt out and photograph, and it’s one of my favorite times of the day.
