This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms—something we can never fully repay, but should never forget.
Life has been crazy busy the past month, so I never got around to sharing some of the photos I captured during my time in Washington, D.C. back in April. Today felt like the perfect day to share a few moments from our Nation’s Capital as we reflect, remember, and give thanks.
May we never forget those who gave everything for this country. 🙏🇺🇸⚓📸

Expectation vs. Reality: The Shot and The Shutterbug. 😅 On the left is a beautiful, shot of Stacey Rotunno just beaming near the start line. On the right, you see a behind-the-scenes glimpse of this old photog completely locked in and doing whatever it takes to get the angle. Photo 1 definitely proves that Rico Photo can still work his magic behind the lens, even if Photo 2 shows I'm not exactly runway-ready while doing it. At the end of the day, as long as the subject looks amazing, this old pro has done his job! 📸💥

🎶📸 Rico Photo DFW will be out at the Wildflower Arts & Music Festival this weekend as the official event photog!

Between race weekends, Class of 2026 senior portrait sessions, and traveling to DC for the RRCA Convention, this photography season has been absolutely nonstop — so I know I’ve been a little behind posting upcoming Rico events lately. But yes… I’ll be out there all weekend capturing the energy, music, smiles, and memories!

Come out with the family, enjoy some amazing live music, grab some great festival food, and if you spot me with the camera, say hello so we can snap a fun photo for ya! 📸🎸🌮☀️

Sony batteries charged, memory cards ready — I’m all set to shoot the 9th Annual Shoots and Ladders 5K & 10K tomorrow morning! 🎉📸

Come out to the Red Tail Pavilion at Oak Point Park in Plano and let’s make some magic! Whether you’re running, jogging, or walking the beautiful trails through the park and nature preserve, I’ll be there capturing your best race faces, victory jumps, and goofy finish-line moments.

This is such a great cause — supporting our local first responders with the Plano Police Association and Plano Firefighters Association. Plus, you get a blinking lights medal and cool tech shirt? Yes please!
