I've been slowing things down with my photography business in order to spend more time being truly present with my kids. Choosing to have 3 kids in 4 years has brought a whirlwind of activity, and (semi-organized) chaos, but also so much fun! They're growing up so fast, and I don't want to miss a minute. So a few weeks ago I decided to attempt to take pictures of my own little monkeys! (Ask any photographer, and the majority will tell you they can get the best pictures with other people's kiddos, but trying to work with their own is a whole different story!) Luckily, my three were actually cooperative this time (aka receptive to my bribes of ice cream for smiles), and we got some beautiful images! I chose a gorgeous field of yellow wildflowers instead of the traditional Texas bluebonnets this year, and am so happy with how they turned out!

My favorite kind of photography subjects are (and always will be) kids. It's probably the pediatric RN in me, but I just LOVE working with children. Especially when they belong to people I grew up with. There's something so special about seeing life come full circle, and getting to spend time with these little people that your friends created. Playing a little catch-up today, updating my photography site! After a busy fall and holiday season, I've decided to slow the photography down just a bit so that I can focus on my three littles (and one giant dane - lawd help me) that need me at home.
