One of the best parts of my job is taking pictures like this. I got to grow up with the absolute best grandparents in the world and so being able to give my clients great photos of their grandparents and family is so special.

When you’re a wedding photographer, your job doesn’t stop when life gets hard. This isn’t a pity post, and honestly I have been struggling with even posting this at all because I’d prefer not to be this vulnerable! My grandma is expected to pass soon and all of this makes me cherish the photos and memories I have of her all the more. It’s amazing that I get to capture the best days of peoples lives, but sometimes they overlap with the worst days in my life. I know other photogs can relate to this… we are right there with you even when it’s hard for us and we’re tearing up during family photos or during a first dance.

This is simply a post to remind you to keep taking pictures of the ones you love - you will never regret that! I’m so thankful for all my sweet couples who have cared for me so well this summer. 🫶🏼

It pays to trust your photographer when she asks you to jump in the water 🫶🏼 I love when people are willing to do something a little crazy during engagement photos. This one was definitely one to remember!
