Weddings with DeAnda Photography are a great experience all around. I know how much effort it took to put this milestone event together and it is important that you to feel stress-free. I aim to capture your day and all those little details, so you’ll remember them for years to come, leaving you with images that you will treasure and proudly display in your home. During your engagement photo shoot

I will really be able to get a sense of who you and your fiancé are so that when the day comes I’ll know exactly what is important to you. I want to discover what makes your relationship so unique and special, it’s the little things like how you met, and what attracted you to each other. I am so excited to capture the moments that are important to you and even a few that you mom wants too! I always will come with a second shooter/assistant in order to aid me in capturing your day. I will also assist you in creating your wedding album. Having something tangible to hold and to share with family and friends when they come over is such a priceless item. Portrait sessions with DeAnda Photography focus on capturing your child's personality and quirks, the bond within your family before and after baby, and the moments of life that you want remembered. I also can capture you by yourself, with your special someone, and high school seniors. I love to engage with my clients are really bring out their true character. Before your session we will talk about what to wear and where to have your session, this allows us to be on the same page. I will also have you collect photos that you like, from 15-20 images, this allows me to see your true style and what you are looking for out of your session in style, light, and location. For the day of the shoot prepare for an awesome time, no stuffy portrait experience here, I am a real person, not a chain, and I will hopefully have you comfortable in front of my camera in no time so I can truly capture you! Once we are done, when you where wishing that we could just shoot all day since it was so much fun, I will head home and begin my editing process. I cull through the images choosing out the ones where you look your best and then work a little magic on them to make them pop. Within 2 weeks your images will be live, then I will arrange a time for me to come to you to show you your portraits and have our ordering appointment together. I want to create art for your home, this is why prints, books, and canvas are really where you should think of investing. How many times have images just sat on your computer to never be printed. With all our preparation and planning how could you not want everyone who comes over see you gorgeous photos? So lets stop making excuses and get these on your walls! I can't wait to meet you and customize our session together.

I am very proud to share that my image was the cover of PPA magazine this month!

I am just so excited, as this was always a goal of mine! I can't wait till it gets here in the mail, and can't wait to send a copy to Andrea and Sean!

This year has been amazing thus far and I can't wait to see what else it bring me!

Our June cover image, "Elation," was captured by Carol DeAnda, M. Photog. M. Wed. Photog. Cr., CPP of DeAnda Photography in Algonquin, Illinois. The image was taken in February outside the wedding venue in Lake Barrington, Illinois, where freezing cold temperatures added to the already high-pressure nature of a sparkler exit. To achieve the effect, a slower shutter speed was used to allow the ambient sparkler light to register, while a zoom burst technique (zooming the lens during the exposure) created the dynamic, energetic feel you see in the final image. An assistant held a Godox AD200 in a Magsphere on a Cheetah stand to light the couple and freeze the motion.

I took last week off to recharge, and I came back inspired.

This week's blog was sparked by one of my favorite sessions in a long time, and if you've seen the images, you know exactly why.

I'm switching gears from my corporate and event work to talk about family work, and specifically what happens when you strip everything back and keep things simple.

I was so excited to work with this family when mom sent me her inspo, which was photos taken on white. There is something just so simple and clean and timeless about images shot like this. I kept it simple with just one light for these! If you want to capture something like this of your family, I can do this right at my beautiful studio!

What a beautiful wedding yesterday! Congratulations Becky + Kyle, I can't wait to share more of the photos with you from your day but here a few favorites. We did their first look and portraits at one of my favorite places in Crystal Lake, then headed to Da Baffone Cucina Italiana where they got married in front of their closest family and friends. Also the food here was EXCELLENT! Highly recommend checking out this restaurant, it would be a perfect place for a date night and I am sure these two will spend many date nights in the future here reliving their wedding day!
