You asked. I listened: a smaller dating photoshoot option.

I’ve heard some version of this more than once: “I need new dating photos. I just don’t need a whole photoshoot right now.”

Fair. Not everyone needs five outfits, a half day in front of the camera, and a full collection of new images. Sometimes your profile just needs a couple of fresh, current photos.

For one day only, on October 21 at Nalls Produce and Garden Center in Alexandria, I’m offering 20-minute dating photo sessions built around one great fall look.

We’ll take advantage of the pumpkins, fall color, and seasonal setting to create photos that feel natural, current, and right for this time of year.

$290 includes:
- 20-minute photoshoot
- One fall look
- Hair + makeup artist on site for quick touch-ups and shine control
- Direction and posing throughout
- Two professionally retouched images of your choice
- Virtual image selection appointment afterward

🗓️November 7–9, 2026

Palm Beach is something entirely different: warm weather, waterfront settings, palms, beautiful architecture, sunrises, and relaxed lifestyle images with a polished coastal feel.

For online dating, it’s a chance to show another side of your life and personality. For branding, it can give you a fresh library of warm, elevated lifestyle imagery that feels completely different from what we can create at home.

40 Over 40 Feature: Andrea

A scientist. A leader. A woman of deep faith. A friend who shows up. And a woman who has walked through some incredibly difficult seasons and come out with an even deeper sense of who she is.

Andrea grew up in Wisconsin, earned her PhD in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from Johns Hopkins, spent more than a decade at the NIH, and now works in spatial biology—helping scientists advance discoveries in cancer, immunology, neuroscience, and beyond.

But when I asked her how she wanted people to see her, her answer had very little to do with her accomplishments.

She said she hopes people see the fruit of the Spirit in her life: joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. That says a lot about who she is.

She has navigated an extraordinary scientific career, led through seemingly impossible challenges, walked through her own breast cancer journey, supported her father through pancreatic cancer, and continued to serve, encourage and love the people around her through it all.

And perhaps my favorite part of her story is what she says about being in her 40s👇🏽

She has become more comfortable with who she is and the identity God has given her.
After years of struggling with body dysmorphia, she describes this season as one of healing and freedom—a season where she no longer sees her worth through the lens of appearance.

This is one of the things I love most about photographing women in their 40s and beyond. To capture the woman you’ve become is such an honor! The woman who has lived. Loved. Lost. Grown. Led. Changed. Overcome. And finally feels more at home in her own skin.

Andrea chose to document this season of her life and I am so glad she did.

There are just 4 spots remaining in the 40/40 project before this experience closes forever.
