Little Woodrow was brought to the shelter by a local do-gooder who found him along by the Woodrow Wilson bridge with an injured leg, having likely been hit by a car. He starting his time at the shelter frightened and hiding behind his bed, but with the care of AWLA staff and his , Woody made a full recovery and is now ready to find a home of his own. If you’d like to meet this sweet and curious little guy, stop by the shelter and meet Woodrow today!

What do you call a dog who can do magic? Visit Blitz and our other adoptable animals this weekend for our Big Daddy Adoption Weekend to find out! We have adorable animals and “bad dad jokes”; what could be better? Starting Friday at noon through Sunday at 5 p.m., adoption fees are waived for animals across the shelter! Animal’s whose fees have been waived will have our “Bad Dad Jokes” on their enclosures. Join us as we celebrate all pet parents this Father’s Day Weekend!
