We’re definitely entering that season of families wanting to capture special moments, and I’m here for ALL of it!

From mother/daughter sessions and growing families to couples, milestone birthdays, and multi-generational portraits, this is the time of year when we start thinking about the people who mean the most to us and the memories we want to hold on to.

Maybe it’s finally getting those portraits with your daughter that you’ve been talking about for years. Maybe your children are growing faster than you can keep up with, your family is gathering for the holidays, or you simply realize it’s been far too long since everyone has been in front of the camera together.

Whatever the reason, there’s something special about making time to document the people and relationships that make your life meaningful. These are the moments that deserve to be remembered, not just on our phones, but in beautiful portraits we can display, share, and look back on for years to come.

And listen, you don’t need a special occasion or a perfectly coordinated family to make it happen. Sometimes, the best reason to schedule a session is simply because you want to remember this season of your life exactly as it is right now.

Mother/Daughter sessions are one of my favorites. The laughter, fierce looks and moments of endearment I absolutely live for. The biggest thing that brings me joy is knowing how these timestamped memories will live on forever. I also approach these moments with my own beloved mom in mind. Photographing these memories for others are nostalgic for me.

There’s something so magical about celebrating the anticipation of your first baby. Baby number one brings so many new emotions; excitement, wonder, a little bit of nervousness, and a love that hasn’t even fully arrived yet but is already so deeply felt.
For this beautiful maternity session, Mommy was wrapped in flowing fabric, creating an elegant and timeless portrait that allowed her beauty and the beginning of this new chapter to take center stage. Pregnancy is a fleeting season, and I believe it deserves to be documented beautifully. These portraits will one day tell your little one the story of the woman who was waiting with so much love for them to arrive.

Strength has a visual language, and I wanted every frame of this branding session to speak it. 💪🏾

For this session, we incorporated resistance bands, dumbbells, a stability ball, and movement to create imagery that feels authentic to what she does as a fitness professional.

But we weren't simply taking pictures of someone working out.

We were creating a visual library for "JustBFit", images that communicate discipline, strength, confidence, expertise, and the lifestyle her brand represents.

This is what I love about branding photography. The details matter. The wardrobe matters. The props matter. The movement matters.

When all of those elements work together, your images begin telling your story before you ever say a word.

Sometimes the most beautiful portraits aren't created on a perfectly seamless background... they're created in thoughtfully layered spaces that tell a story.

One of the things I love most about being a portrait photographer is designing sets that create depth, texture, and visual interest. While a classic seamless backdrop will always have its place, I also love creating editorial-inspired environments using canvas backdrops, posing boxes, rugs, and carefully curated studio pieces.

It's a reminder that beautiful portraiture isn't about having the most elaborate set, it's about using light, composition, and intentional design to create imagery that feels timeless.

Every woman who walks into my Alexandria studio has a different story, personality, and vision. Some sessions call for clean, modern simplicity. Others deserve a little more texture, dimension, and artistic flair. I love having the creative freedom to offer both because no two portrait experiences should ever feel the same.
