Because He lives, I can face tomorrow 🙌🏻🤍☀️truthfully I will never get over the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection. The details that brought Him to the cross—betrayal, misunderstanding, fulfillment of prophecy, mercy, grace, true love…it all blows my mind every time I stop to take it all in. I am so thankful for this day and the way it continues to change me 🤍

“The weary world rejoices!”
I’m so grateful that His presence brings rejoicing.

My advent devotional this year had a focus on the genealogy of Jesus and the years of prophesies leading up to his birth. It had me thinking of how long they waited for him to arrive the first time! Centuries! The earth must have been growing so weary in waiting for its Creator to come. Then when He made his first newborn squeal—it was like an exhale was felt all throughout the world! With His first cry came true joy, supernatural peace, and a strength that all of creation had been anticipating for so long!

And now, we wait again. After the year we’ve had, I feel that great anticipation for His second coming with tangible strength. Christmas reminds me that the world has waited before, and here we are waiting again! I’m glad that as we wait this time around, we get to wait with Holy Spirit on the inside. That because we have the great Comforter—we get to pull on His joy and lean into His peace. 🤍

Merry Christmas everyone! May the God of all peace comfort you this season and show you His true joy. (pc: the ever talented 🫶🏼)
