Building out the perfect interview frame, step by step. 🎥✨
Here is a BTS look at our recent on-location corporate interview setup down in Alexandria, VA for the new president of AAPM.
To get that cinematic, boardroom-ready look, we ran our Canon C70s on Sigma Primes and built a book light using two Aputure 400X fixtures for an incredibly soft wrap. On the audio side, we kept it pristine with a Sennheiser MKH50 straight into the Zoom F8n Pro, backed up by our Sanken COS-11D lav system.

The anatomy of a custom color grade. 🎨🎬

Great color grading only works if you get it right in camera first. For this setup down in Alexandria, VA, we used Canon C70s paired with Sigma Primes. To get that soft wrap on the talent, we built a book light powered by two Aputure 400X fixtures—the color rendering on these is absolutely fantastic.
Audio footprint: Sennheiser MKH50 into a Zoom F8n Pro, with a Sanken COS-11D / Sennheiser EW-DP for the wireless lav backup.
The grade is what takes footage from simply being “recorded” to feeling “cinematic.”

DC. Shooting sit-down interviews on a busy conference floor is one of our favorite technical challenges at AC
Video Productions. You have to work fast, control your lighting in unpredictable spaces, and make sure your audio is completely dialed in to cut through the background noise.
Here is a look at the final results, followed by the agile setup we used to pull it off.

Frames from yesterday’s testimonial shoot! 🎥✨
We absolutely love it when a past project leads to a new partnership. After seeing the work we did for Carmeuse last year, the team at Insens reached out all the way from Belgium to have us capture this story.
We spent the day dialing in the lighting for 4 fantastic interviews and grabbing some highly kinetic B-roll to show their services in action. The colors in these raw screen grabs are already popping, the audio is crisp, and the story is front and center.

Sneak peek! 👀🎬 Swipe for BTS. We’re currently in the lab working on a new commercial testimonial and “About Us” project, and we couldn’t wait to share a few behind-the-scenes shots.

You can have the best service in the world, but if your story isn’t captured right, people won’t connect with it. We spent the day dialing in the perfect lighting and composition to make sure this brand’s story is impossible to ignore.
