Been a long while since posting here, but wanted to show you a series I've been working on using an old photography technique called Kirlian Photography. It's a fascinating process that combines high-voltage electricity and contact prints. You can do anything that has some degree of conductivity and the results are very experimental. I've created some pieces so far that I'll be sharing and any background stories to them. This piece was enhanced with digital editing, BUT the image you see was mostly caught using the Kirlian process.

My latest piece!

Lost at Sea! On a search for their beloved toy truck, they find themselves in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by all kinds of sea creatures.
The two brothers (twins actually) did so great with the props and direction. Their love for sea creatures and trucks was the basis on the whole scheme of this piece.

Space Boys! Two young adventurers explore a mysterious astroid, devoid of all life… or is it??

Hey all! I’ve been quiet for a while on social media, but for good reason! I’m excited to announce a brand-new service my studio offers that is completely different than a normal portrait session. I’m calling this Dream Art.

These are highly creative and wildly imaginative portraits that are one-of-a-kind pieces of art for you and your loved ones. Quite a bit of work goes into the process and in the details to ensure it tells your story.

Today I wanted to share the image that first got me thinking of making something more out of a hobby. It’s a well-known spot in my area, along the Potomac River in Virginia. I call it Aquam Fortum which is Latin for “strong water”. I still remember the constant roar of the river over the rocks. They have signs placed all over saying “don’t swim in the water”. Good thing too, because I definitely thought about it before seeing them 😂

I looooved taking this photo and designing it. Reflection in the water, colors in the sky, a faint mist across the water… what’s not to like! 😎😎😎
It was taken on the Maryland side of the Potomac River which borders Virginia and Maryland. It was in the winter and right as the sun was rising. A thick fog was present which started to clear just as the sun rose 🌄

I believe out of all the things in Mother Nature, clouds are the most playful, creative, temperamental and inspiring. Clouds are used as an image of hope and prayer or can be used to portray death and destruction. I see my clouds here are an image of hope and growth. 💪☺️

I feel photography is sometimes like the game charades. Except you can’t move, say anything or signal how many syllables… it happens to be one of my favorite party games though because of how creative people can get😂
Anyone else have a favorite party game?

It’s probably obvious but I love taking photos of clouds and the sky ☁️🌅 I find myself taking pictures of these the most.

I named this piece Ferocia In Motis (which translates to Ferocity in Motion from Latin) because to me I see a girl facing opposition bravely and dauntlessly💪

I’m curious, what do you see when you look at this shot? 👀
