I loved this casual moment at the end of the session. Kerry looked so cute sipping on a sparkling water with her belly out, and she looked just as stunning in the more posed images we created too.

That’s one of my favorite things about a maternity session. We can do both. Beautiful, intentional portraits and the little in-between moments that feel more relaxed and like you.

Kerry looked perfect either way. 🤍

The way babies light up around their pups is just really, really cute.

So yes, bring the dog. Even if it makes things a little more complicated. Even if they don’t sit where you want them to or look at the camera or cooperate at all.

They’re part of your family, too. And someday, you’ll be really glad they’re in these photos.

There’s so much attention given to the baby during pregnancy, and understandably so.

But I want to remember the person, too.

The person becoming a mother. The person carrying so much physically, emotionally, and mentally. The person figuring out who she is in this new season.

Maternity photos can be beautiful, but I think they can also be a reminder that you matter in this story, too.

And whatever this season feels like for you, you don’t have to experience it perfectly to deserve to have it documented. 🤍

There’s room to explore, connect, laugh, and let the little moments happen naturally.
