Torie and Jake have been married for one week today! After enduring all the unknowns, cancellations, and rescheduling that came with planning a wedding during a global pandemic, they were finally able to celebrate their love in a beautifully intimate ceremony. The Sandias did not disappoint as the perfect backdrop. 💜

Happy Birthday to this love sponge! Evey is 3 years old today, and I couldn't be more thankful to have her in our little family. She loves to play fetch and tug, lick faces, "smoosh" faces, and push me off my own pillow. She's also the cutest lap warmer. I can't imagine life without her. She is about 3 months old in the first picture, and the second picture is from this past April.

As a portrait photographer, you sometimes have to use little tricks and jokes to get a variety of expressions from your clients. This was not one of those times. Samantha and Shea are so much in love that they were able to entertain themselves without my corny jokes. This session was especially meaningful since Shea is my brother-in-law, and I’ve known Samantha since elementary school. They met at my wedding in April of 2018, and I can’t wait to watch them get married in September of 2021. I am absolutely thrilled that these two found each other.

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything here, because, you know, 2020. However, I was lucky enough to do a pandemic-approved session with this lovely family last week. It was definitely a refreshing change of pace to interact with Maggie and her wonderful family. I had a blast working on this session, it was awesome to be able to get back to work.

There’s only a few hours left of Memorial Day, but I wanted to make sure that I express my heartfelt gratitude to all our service members and their families, especially those that have made the ultimate sacrifice. My heart goes out to all of you.

It’s been awhile, and I hope that everyone is staying home as much as possible and being safe. Thank you to all essential workers for putting yourselves out there for the rest of us! To help bring some cheer into these crazy times, I had some fun creating these images for everyone’s enjoyment. We recently had our backyard finished with turf from and they did a fantastic job! So it served as the perfect backdrop for some playtime pictures with Evey. Hopefully her antics can bring a smile to your face in place of all my terrible jokes during photo shoots. Enjoy, my dog is adorable. 💜🐶
