What a wonderful weekend at 🥹 You all showed👏🏻up👏🏻 and I’m SO thankful! Thank you for being here, thank you for shopping, thank you for gifting items to your friends and coworkers and teachers and kids, thank you for pulling your friends over to my booth cause “they’ve gotta see this”, thank you for happy dancing with me, thank you for cheering me all along the way. Seeing returning shoppers makes my heart burst, seeing new faces get excited makes me squeal inside and out, and seeing you all walk away with a Doodle Shop goodie is a dream come true. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, you’re the best! 🥰🥹💛

Oh friend… I have to say… I’ve missed this! I’ve missed photographing sweet love and blogging it here to share with you! If you’re reading this in real time, you know that we’re in the midst of COVID-19 and life.has.been.nuts! Within a day it seemed like the world flipped, and everything in life was postponed / cancelled … including Kelliann + Cole’s engagement session!

We finnnnnally were able to meet up last week, now that things have progressed and restrictions have lifted a bit… and it was SO WORTH THE WAIT! These two ROCKED it, and it was pure bliss to be back behind the camera photographing the sweetest duo!

Kelliann and Cole have the most precious love… the kind of love in the movies. The kind where high schoolers meet because of friends, go on first dates to the pumpkin patch, and are completely smitten with each other immediately and always. (All true about K + C!) Years passed since that first date in high school, and back they went to the pumpkin patch where Cole asked Kelliann to be his wife. She said YES and in just a few short weeks they’ll be promising to forever. (And I, personally, can’t wait!)

It’s been a wild ride for these two the past few months with planning and changing plans and planning again… but as we wandered through the field that evening they walked hand in hand, calmly smiling at each other saying, “It’ll all be fine, and we’ll be married!” They’re so right, and it’s going to be so lovely!

Speaking of lovely - it was such a gorgeous night. And these two… I die. They snuggled in so sweetly, they giggled in each others arms, and it was just the best! You’ll see what I mean :) —

Hi my friends! Are you all hanging in there? We’re all very well aware at this point that COVID-19 has had a huge effect on the world this year. It seems as though every single thing has been impacted, including… weddings! If you’re a couple that has needed to reschedule your wedding day, let me first just send you the biggest hug ever! (An air hug, obviously! ;) ) My heart goes out to you as you navigate the todos, the stress, the emotions, and all the things that come along with something wild like this! I’d love to help in any way I can - and today I have written up some of my favorite wedding venues in Albuquerque and Santa Fe in case you’re on the hunt today.

And if you’re not dealing with a reschedule - just planning away for your future wedding day… HOORAY! This list will help you too! Sending you ( air ) hugs while you daydream!

Hi friends!

I’m here today with a super fun blog post: The best of 2019! Now, it’s not the first of January. It’s not even the first week. I’ve been taking my time gathering these photos and reminiscing about each day, each couple, each love story. As I’ve gathered I’ve thought multiple times about what to write… how to make it different than last years post and the one before that. It feels cheesy to say it over and over again — how grateful I am. But here’s the thing…

ITS TRUE! I’m SO dang grateful! We have the honor of capturing so many incredible moments and memories. Couples and their families invite Dominic and I into their worlds. They hug us, they feed us, they confide in us, they happy dance with us, they laugh with us, they keep in touch with us, they support us… AND IT’S NOT EVEN ABOUT US! They trust us with special, intimate, irreplaceable days that we get to photograph, witness, and hold in our hearts forever! And it is seriously THE BEST!

This year has held so many awesome days - here in our back yard of Albuquerque, and all the way in Belize - and goodness it’s just so fun to look back on all the pretty! We’ve worked with crazy-talented friendors (friend vendors), and grown closer together as a couple listening to each ceremony, driving to and from each wedding, and reading each others minds throughout it all, ha!

We’ve cheered and celebrated with couples in their first few minutes of being married, and we’ve shed tears during moments that shook us. We’ve eaten delicious food, and soaked in gorgeous sunsets. We’ve ridden golf carts, played with puppies, and jammed to our favorites songs. We’ve made new friends and visited new places. And more times than I could ever count, we’ve caught each others eye from across a wedding and shared a little grin that we both know means, “This is the best!”

It’s been quite a year. A year that is not taken for granted, full of moments that have shaped us — and that is all thanks to our wonderful couples. We’re so grateful for the honor and the pleasure to be a part of such special days. Our lives and hearts are so impacted, and we are forever thankful!

Also, I’m very thankful that this year also held a very fun memory … spoiler alert … sommmmmebody ripped their pants. Don’t miss it while you scroll through our “Best of 2019”.
