51st Annual Durango Iron Horse Bicycle Classic.
Just wrapped up my 19th year shooting this incredible event. 2,000 cyclists participate in the epic Durango to Silverton ride.

I'm undertaking a huge project of digitizing my massive pre-digital-age archive of many thousands of slides from 40 countries traveled.
These are a selection from a North Pole expedition I documented for Israeli TV. We used a Russian outfitter for the trip and ended up being the first expedition to reach the North Pole in this millennia! Wasn't too difficult physically since we were dropped off close enough to be able to cross country to the geographical pole in about 4-5 days, but the cold was brutal and unrelenting - we spent close to two weeks on the ice-cap at a constant of around -35 degrees.

It's hard to believe that 20 years ago today, me and my buddies, Roy and David were in a high, just back from an incredible, epic motorcycle adventure in Egypt's Western Desert on KLR-650s. It was a trip that would inspire my company logo (sand-hands), result in the National Geographic commissioning a documentary from the footage I shot, and even inspire Roy's marriage proposal! It was a truly magical experience in a unique region and I would go back there in a heartbeat. These are a sampling of some color slides I recently scanned.

I have long wanted to explore the incredible area near Hanksville Utah and was blown away by the formations and colors. Camping under the milky way, Three Step Hideaway and Shiprock, NM were a welcome bonus!
