Chasing sunrise dreams...

I went out for a walk to watch the balloons on the sky and ended up spotting also a paraglider, at one moment it looked like he can barely touch the Sandia peaks with his fingertips.

Flying through the air, both the balloons and the paraglider, each one enjoying the golden light of sunrise in the middle of desert.

Last Monday, I grabbed my camera and went out to capture the moonrise. I was completely captivated by the stunning hues and enchanting cloud formations that transformed the evening into something truly magic. Enjoying this hummingbird season, here's a stunning black-chin hummingbird flashing its vibrant purple hues, a signature of its male identity. Also, if you look closely, there's a delicate white spot behind its eye that enhances its charm. Don't miss out on these wonders of nature!

It's been a while since my last post, but this Earth Day, I can't wait to share these images I captured.

Last February, I spotted a majestic Bald Eagle, gracefully perched on the top of a tree, showcasing her breathtaking beauty. This was my first encounter with this stunning raptor and I must say it has a very dominant and elegant presence. Though sightings in Albuquerque are rare, they grace our skies during winter migration.

Later in March, I was fortunate to observe another Bald Eagle during a road-trip to Williams, Arizona. This time, this raptor was chasing an Osprey until it dropped its catch. It was a thrilling experience, but my shaky hands and distance didn't contribute to get a closer photo for that moment. Anyways, I really enjoyed it and I couldn't resist to share that adventure with you today.

Capturing the Elegance of Hummingbirds Flight

A few days ago, I went for a morning walk at the Nature Center and it was a good opportunity to capture these tiny aviators, with their wings beating faster than a heartbeat. I positioned myself near a feeder following their aerial ballet with my camera.

With a lot of patience I waited, breath held, as they were fast moving and showing the beautiful emerald colors in their plumage.

The first image is a composite showing some of their graceful movements as they fly.
