Cascadia 19 // alongside .films

I’ve produced more projects than I can shake a stick at where clients ask us to fake foul weather: SFX, rain rigs, wind machines…the whole bit. But for the Brooks crew, foul weather wasn’t optional.

As luck would have it, our production window landed atop a extratropical cyclone hammering the Southern Oregon/California border. 70mph gusts, pounding rain, and high-elevation snow across our locations. Impressive, gnarly, and exactly what the doctor ordered - full rowdy!
Huge gratitude to the entire team and athletes who rallied through it with us. I think I’m stilling drying out from this one.

Our road to parenthood has been long and uphill. For over seven years, we moved through the sphere of IVF and fertility specialists, chasing answers and holding tightly to possibility. Adoption didn’t come as a second choice, but as a quiet, steady calling. This journey has stretched us, humbled us, and ultimately led us to the most beautiful gift we could’ve ever hoped for. And now, with full and grateful hearts, we’ve brought our daughter home. It has reshaped us in ways we’re still discovering, and we welcome the bright adventure ahead with open arms.

Immense love and respect to Christin for her strength and unshakable will. We did it ♥️
