Saying you know someone can be complicated, because what you know about a person is only to an extent. We only know what people want us to know. We are looking at a reflection of the things that they want to show. But behind that reflection lays so many untouched things. So many thoughts, emotions, actions and beliefs. We only see one side of a person. Just like an ocean, we can rarely see what’s underneath the surface. But once you see that other side, then and only then, Can you say you truly know.

Lately it feels as though nothing has the beauty it once had. Colors fading into grey, clouds and smog forming as one covering the sky, people’s smiles drifting from their face. The world seems to be loosing its joy, but in reality.. it’s still here. Our eyes have been trained to look for the grey, the colorless, the anger and the fear. The beauty is still here, the colors hidden behind the the trees, the blue sky hidden behind the clouds full of smog, the smiles tucked away for a rainy day. In order to see these thing we must look. Look for the sunsets and listen for the songs the birds sing in the morning. Put down the phone and pick up your feet, walk the roads less traveled. Dance on those rainy days. Stair at the stars as they shift through the night. Open your eyes and see all the wonderful things this world has to offer.
