Here’s another amazing Eastern European parliament that I had the opportunity to tour.

The Romanian Parliament building is a monumental symbol of Ceaușescu’s 1980s urban redesign — enormous, extravagant, and deeply disruptive. It stands today as one of the world’s largest administrative buildings, but its construction required wiping out a large historic quarter of Bucharest, making it both an architectural marvel and a reminder of the city’s transformation.

Romania is a beautiful country with much more to explore!

Time for a landscape/travel post.

An ancient fortress located on the north slopes of the Balkan Mountains (Old Mountain), located close to the northwestern Bulgarian town of Belogradchik - the Belogradchik Fortress is a historic stronghold in northwest Bulgaria, famous for its seamless integration with the dramatic Belogradchik Rocks, a natural rock formation. Built by the Romans and expanded by Bulgarians and Ottomans, it served as a strategic defense, utilizing the towering sandstone pillars as natural walls.
