I was wondering why I am so tired tonight and realized I have had 1 wedding, 16 sessions, my magazine job deadline, and loads of kids activities in the last 8 days. And then I gave myself a moment to sit in all this and recognize the immense amount we carry as working parents/business owners. Whew. How are we all doing out there?

Every year I walk away from a session with this family amazed. Because mom gets it. She is all about documenting exactly who her kids are in exactly this season. For this little guy it's all about football. And so, we play. We let his imagination run wild and we let him embrace all of his childhood. We look the cloud shapes in the sky, chase the light and love is what remains loudest.

My final wedding of 2026 and what a way to end the year! 7 Vines Vineyard and Winery Dellwood, MN provided the perfect backdrop to the most loving, sweet, sophisticated and yet down to earth day! Breanna + Nathan have a love that will stand the test of time. What an honor it was to document the beauty.
