Motherhood deserves to be remembered ✨

Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful moms out there. No matter where your season of life may be right now, I hope you know that you deserve to feel celebrated for all the magic you bring into this world.

Being a mom is one of the biggest life journeys we take on and brings all sorts of emotions with it. And it is also one of the coolest ways to enjoy the little moments of joy that make this world go round.

Getting to celebrate these amazing mamas for my spring Celebrate You minis was such an honor. And as we close out on another Mother’s Day, I hope each and every one of you feel celebrated today.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what’s actually worth celebrating lately.

Not just the big milestones… but the in-between.

This idea has been sitting with me for a while, and it’s what led me to create something new.

“Celebrate You” mini sessions 🤍

These sessions are meant to be a space to celebrate your life as it is, in photos you can keep forever.

The sessions are based on a “pay what you can” investment scale, because I have always believed money should not keep you from feeling celebrated.

There’s a $25 deposit to reserve your spot, and whatever you’re able to pay on the day is enough.

No pressure. No expectations. Just a space to be seen and celebrated as you are.

There’s something about the way the light hits just perfectly in this photo.

This might be a little bit of a hot take but….

I think the memories we will really cherish in 50 years are the ones that you would miss if you blinked. The ones that seemed like such a small little second in your life at the time but will someday feel like your whole world in one moment.

As beautiful as all the Pinterest worthy weddings are (and trust me THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL)… I think the real moments that matter in a wedding are the ones you cannot plan and prep for.

Of course I don’t know the experience for every person, but personally for me, when I come across a truly beautiful candid where someone looks genuinely happy to be there, I feel like I’ve struck gold. Getting to see, capture and share these little moments with you all one of the greatest honors.

So I guess all this to say, if I was to give you one little tidbit takeaway as the reader I’d say this:

As you’re in the depths of planning every beautiful moment for your wedding, make sure to leave a little room for magic ✨ I think you’ll be thankful you do.

Introducing….. Ashley B Portraits ✨

For the last year I have been working on rebranding my business. Not just in logos and pretty fonts, but a full discovery of “why” I am a photographer. 🪞

5 years ago I picked up a camera to photograph some of my students who didn’t have the financial means to take senior photos. I believed that everyone deserves to be celebrated regardless of finances and launched “Ashley B Portraits” as a way to provide affordable photography to all.

5 years later I have had the opportunity to photograph hundreds of people in all walks of life. But through it all one mindset remained….

“You deserve to be celebrated” 🍾

A quote I would say to clients in passing, to encourage second shooters in their creativity, or to anyone I felt needed a little extra encouragement.

So when it came to my rebrand, I knew I wanted to create a brand that was full of celebration, encouragement and love. And from this, Ashley B Portraits was born!

But I could not be here today without the help of some amazingly talented people… 🥂
studio brought my vision to life with my branding in ways I could have never imagined.

designed a website that felt like me from start to finish.

photographed my branding and personality in the most intentional way.
