Minutes before the ceremony, the skies opened up.
The flowers were soaked, the dock was flooded, but everyone was determined to not let the rain ruin the day.

Instead, it gave them a stormy sunset, rain-soaked vows, and the kind of wedding that feels more like a movie than real life. 🌧️🤍

Life has felt heavy this year.

It’s been seven weeks since losing my dad, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around what it means to be this age without parents. I always thought we would have more time, years into their old age. Grief has a way of changing everything in ways you don’t expect.

At the same time, life has not slowed down. My full time role at UF has been full this semester, and I am still showing up as a wife and a mom. Somewhere in all of that, I have fallen a little behind here, posting less, engaging less, creating less.

If you are here, if you have supported my photography, or trusted me with your moments, thank you. I am still here, just moving through a season that has asked a lot of me.

I am giving myself some grace right now, and I hope you will too 🤍

Some love stories come full circle. ❤️

Lakshay and Ruth first met while working together at the Starbucks inside Library West as UF students. Between coffee shifts, study breaks, and long conversations, something special began to grow.

This morning, Lakshay brought their story back to where it all started. In front of the UF libraries, he got down on one knee and asked Ruth to spend forever with him.

Through happy tears and a very emotional “yes,” these two officially began their next chapter together.

Thoughtful, meaningful, and absolutely perfect. Congratulations, Lakshay and Ruth. 💍✨

I took it as his daughter, and as a photographer who understands the weight of preserving a moment.
My dad passed away yesterday.
