I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing many firsts behind my lens while capturing stories and moments that are so fleeting.

There are times when I don’t fully appreciate those moments until I’m home editing them. During this mother and son dance, though, I knew as soon as his father played the first note that this would be one of those moments.

The genuine love and thoughtfulness that went into this wedding was unlike any other. From this dance to the mother of the bride collecting everyone’s favorite colors to create a handfasting knot, not only for the couple to keep but also as wedding favors for their guests.

There were so many little details throughout the day that made this wedding what it was, and I’m grateful I got to be there to capture them 🤎
