Finally sharing these promo shots I took back in September while covering The Four Horsemen’s show in Lorain, OH.

Known as the ultimate Metallica tribute band, they’ve been gaining momentum nationwide. I’ve worked with them numerous times, with my live shots being used to promote their shows, but this time they needed something different—studio-quality band portraits for future promotions.

The first two images were shot under a bridge using a two-light setup: one behind them for a backlight and another positioned camera left as a key light, creating a soft yet three-dimensional studio look.

For the second shot in front of the brick building, I used a one-light setup, camera left, to make it look like natural light. I also converted it to black and white for a more vintage, timeless feel. This shot was inspired by Ross Halfin—Metallica’s go-to photographer since the early ‘80s. I wanted to capture the same raw, moody vibe he would have shot back in the day while adding a film-like approach to the edit.

Pumped to see these guys continuing to grow, and stoked to have been a part of their journey.

A happy All Hallows' Eve fiends. The time has come, and, of course, I couldn't resist conjuring a Halloween-themed session to present to all of you. I trust you've relished the initial glimpses shared here. Collaborating with the enigmatic has been a nothing short of amazing, and her talents have added a unique enchantment to our creation. She brought forth the ideal aesthetic and ambiance amidst the captivating landscape of Glendale, where the autumn trees painted the surroundings with their vibrant hues, and the architecture gracefully complemented the autumnal tableau. All tatted up and donning a black Victorian corset, and a touch of blood red hair added a splash of resurrection to our cemetery session. Although it was quite difficult to select my favorite shots from this shoot (which is a good thing), Mars and I made sure to include a little mystique and variety in each shot.

Finally! I can release these photographs where they have been accumulated in the abyss for more than two years. Not that I didn't think they were worth sharing, but I dedicated a good part of the summer to designing and producing Olathia's newest album, which is being released today. Because of how well the art direction matched my fascination with the gloomy, dark undertones of the night, these portraits are among my favorites that I have taken. The images were presented in a way that aimed to imitate 1940s crime scene photos by using a faded and worn aesthetic. I'll show you the edited version first, followed by the original, vintage movie look. However, in order to fully enjoy them, you gotta purchase the album as it contains additional sophisticated witchery that I added to the project.

🌙 Romani Blade ⚔️

Madison and I embarked on a Romani-themed adventure in Canton's enchanted gardens 🌿🧚‍♂️. As the session unfolded, the atmosphere magically transformed into a fairy-tale dream ✨. Babbling streams, a gracefully aged wooden bridge, and the rich green forest moss all conspired to weave an enchanting spell. It was like we had wandered straight into a scene from a Disney classic 🎥🏰, with just one minor omission – the chorus of those singing dwarves.🎶
