Þingvellir (Thingvellir) National Park hosted incredible views and beauty. Getting to walk between fissures, seeing beautiful mountains and the Iceland Parliament was amazing. I feel so fortunate as I work through edits to relive the moments I got to see in person.

We traveled out west to see some new landscapes and made a stop to visit this iconic church, Búðakirkja. Built in 1848, this little church stands between vast mountains and gorgeous shores.

Completed the Golden Circle here in Iceland and this was from one of the first stops.

This church is within Þingvellir National Park and is called Þingvallakirkja (Church of Þingvellir). It was build in 1859 to replace the previous one.

This trip has been nothing short of amazing so far. First day here and we were able to see the northern lights. The first few photos are with my camera and the others are with a phone when they were stronger. Tomorrow we are off to a lagoon and then after that.. who knows? Black sand beaches? Ice caves? Waterfalls?

New bird for me!
