I'm so thrilled and grateful that my photograph of an Atlantic Puffin was published by the National Audubon Society as part of an article published earlier this month!

I am so glad that my work is being used to help promote conservation and the work being done by so many other hardworking individuals to help preserve our natural world.

Today marks three years without my father. So many wonderful things have happened in those three years that I wish he could have been here for, none more so than getting to know my two sons - his grandsons. Yet, it still only feels like he's been gone for a few days and I simply just need to pick up the phone to call him or knock on his door to see if he's up from his nap.

He would have loved the sweet, kind, and hilarious little boys his two grandsons are becoming. And I think he'd be pretty proud of his own son too. Forever missing you, Dad.

Rising in the eastern sky shortly after sunset is the Pleiades cluster, or the Seven Sisters. I've taken a few cracks at this target, but this has been my best attempt so far with just under an hour of integration. The light from the newly born stars (~100 million years old) reflects off the surrounding dust clouds, creating a beautiful blue wisp effect.

C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) is appearing in the western sky just after sunset now until the end of the month. However, it will be getting farther and farther away from the sun each day, so it will continually get dimmer as the month goes on. If you go out tomorrow, there's a chance you'll be able to see the "anti-tail", a rare phenomenon in which we see a "tail" pointing towards the sun instead of the usual direction away from the sun (you can barely make it out in my image here). But after that, it may not be visible anymore as we leave the comet's orbital plane. So get out there and see it! But if you miss it this go around, don't worry - it'll be back in 80,000 years 😉
