FIVE years ago, I had the pleasure of watching my best friend's little brother go from the little boy I used to see playing Mario Brothers with his brother to a very supportive husband becoming a wonderful father. That's what I saw that day and still see every time I watch their slideshow. Happy Birthday, Dominic. You have an amazing mom & dad!

This cloud was pink during sunset. The lightning stayed pink after the sun was gone. All of this lightning was within the cloud or above it. No rain. For once, I had a chance to photograph lightning that seemed to be right near us versus clear across the county. Yes, I did stand in the driveway with my camera on a tripod. It was too beautiful not to. God is so good.
