It's the end of the season for my son Jasper's baseball team as they lost their playoff game yesterday :(

It wasn't a particularly easy year for him being one of the youngest players in the league but he showed a lot of growth resiliency playing through his nerves and coming up with a few huge plays. Sports teach these kids so much about themselves - how to have grace in victory and in defeat, how to perform under pressure and how to show up and keep trying even when you doubt yourself.

I'm forever grateful to all the coaches and other people behind the scenes at Agoura Pony Baseball who donate their time and talent to give our kids the chance to learn these valuable life lessons! ❤️

Presenting: "Lavender Lightning!"

My 6 year old twins Sasha and Willow are playing softball for the first time this year and this is their amazing team. If you've never seen a 6 year old girl's softball game - it's pretty much the cutest darn thing of all time!

We got incredibly lucky that almost their entire team is made up of friends from their Transitional Kindergarten class last year so every practice and game is like a giant play date.

They play in a fantastic league (Westlake Agoura Girls Softball or WAGS for short) where every parent is expected to volunteer in some capacity. Not surprisingly I was volunteered for doing the yearbook photo and MAY have gone a teensy bit overboard, but I just had SO much fun creating this composite image from 11 different green screen images. Don't they look awesomely tough? 💕
