I did engagement photos for my friend and it kinda ended up a mix as engagement and family photos.

This photo session actually made me so happy. Annie and I became friends a couple years ago. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so happy.
The way Ryan looks at her and cares for her. He was constantly tending to her needs. A kind of love that my friend has dreamed of.

It wasn’t just that though, it’s pretty clear they love each other. The part that made me so happy was the family my friend got. See Annie is unable to have children. She’s always laughed it off like it didn’t bother her, but I knew. I could see it, she wanted a FAMILY too.

And now look at her. Happily engaged and a bonus mom to three wonderful kids. They way they all played and laughed together. Ryan and Annie together not only as a couple but a team, parenting these wild babies. Being goofy, climbing trees, catching snakes all laughing. You can see each of them kinda saved each other. I see my friend with her dreams all next to her. I see a family that cares for each other.

I’m so happy for you Annie! I’m so proud of you and your little family. I’m excited to see your future with your soon to be husband and happy to see you experience motherhood.

Sometimes there's things we wish we could over look when we love someone.
Beth shared with me the good times in her marriage and how heart broken she is that it's all over. How hard it is to let go. I cried when I got home. She had to make a decision that not alot of people will understand but one I do respect her for.
Leaving something you thought would be forever is scary. Unforeseeable events like this is devastating. What we do with that pain is a reflection of self-love. This woman got on her own two feet and decided to be strong for her self and her son.

This shoot wasn't easy for me. I was so nervous I almost puked.

Nothing about this shoot was what I expected. She wasn't vengeful, she wasn't hateful... she was heartbroken. She was looking for away to let go and move forward. This was a journey of self empowerment and reflection.

I wish nothing but the best for you and your family.
