in addition to being a full time-photographer, I am also a full-time child wrangler to two beautiful little girls that keep my head spinning, my heart full and my refrigerator empty. i have the utter privilege to be the wife + soulmate to the kindest, funniest, most big-hearted man that makes me feel like the luckiest girl in all the world, everyday. we are a family that believes in being absolute

ly weird, working hard [ but playing hard, too ] + loving each other with all that we’ve got. along with my human kids, we have two furry cats + two big dogs - which means that my 99% all-black wardrobe is 100% of the time covered in hair. LIKES : speaking in accents, an organized fridge, road trips, all things aerie, giant pretzels, ipa’s, being barefoot, vacuuming, playing euchre, cold weather, staying up late, spreadsheets, cheetah print, loud colors + top knots. DISLIKES : sunday jazz, plane rides, horses, peanut butter with chocolate, clutter, mental math, mushrooms, yardwork, dealing with salespeople, making my bed, being hot + amusement parks. i tend to be mostly a homebody, but occasionally will leave my groutfit + bunhead at home to catch a local show, seek out a trivia night with friends or slink into a corner booth at the meanwhile with a vern ehlers in hand. i travel whenever i can - mostly within our beautiful mitten state - and am forever planning our next getaway via google sheets. we take our kids literally everywhere + i love that they have become such adventurous little travel bugs. at home i spend much of my time in the kitchen making messes, buried under blankets on our couch, finding empty spaces on our walls to hang artwork + photos or tackling never-quite-planned-out home reorganization projects. i LOVE hosting gatherings + am always looking for an excuse to feed my friends. i live for afternoon hangs in the backyard, game nights on the couch + outdoor movies with bonfires. i am notorious for taking 35 days to put away laundry, busting out ‘charcute’ boards at the drop of a hat, randomly rearranging furniture + maxing out my iphone storage [ see : all these friggin’ photos ]. i’m addicted to list-making, skinnytaste, horseradish cheese dips + finding witty things to put on my letter board. i love my mom + our weekly hour-long phone chats. take me to starbucks and i'm an americano with cream, errytime. between the months of april and november - you'll find me quite literally attached to my camera, developing new and concerning eyebrow wrinkles by the day, or posted up at my desk editing + listening to audiobooks or true crime podcasts. i have been shooting as taylor j. photography for eight years which has included almost 200 weddings + i don’t even know how many family sessions + i absolutely LOVE THIS J-O-B. i love working with couples + families + try to fill the role of much more than just a photographer on the day of your wedding or session [ counselor, co-parent, coordinator, BEER HOLDER, groom fetcher, pacifier grabber, etc. ] i'm bubbly, outgoing [ a little sarcastic and weird, TBH ] - but i take my work and your time very seriously. my goal is to give you the best possible experience, and the best images and memories that you can cherish for the rest of your lives [ and use to make yer instagram and facebook as purty as can be ]. want to know more? i’m an open book + super chatty so basically ask away, friend.
